Driver, passenger injured when semi overturns on U.S. 68

Driver of westbound 2014 Freightliner on U.S. 68 east of Edmonton leaves roadway, causing trailer to overturn. Occupants treated at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow

Edmonton, KY (Mon 28 Sep 2015) - The Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 2 investigated a single vehicle collision that occurred today at 3:58CT on Greensburg Road, 2 miles east of Edmonton.



48-year-old Robert Slagle of Bronston, KY was operating a 2014 Freightliner traveling westbound on Greensburg Road. Slagle ran off the roadway causing the trailer to overturn.

Slagle and a passenger, 25-year-old Jordan Harness, of Somerset, were both belted and were transported to T J Samson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Senior Officer Adam Davis is investigating and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Hedgespeth, Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, EMS and Rescue.
