Schools receive $30,000 from Crusade By Shamarie Harper Adair Co. Board of Education Media Promotions / Technology Resource Teacher / District Migrant Recruiter Adair County Schools got more great news this week. The new WHAS Coordinator, James Maulden, presented Anita Goode, Director of Special Education, a 30,000.00 dollar check from this past years WHAS Crusade for Children. All the funds go to assist children with special needs. James was excited to discuss a few of the activities already being planned for this year which include a Pancake Breakfast in November, road blocks are scheduled for the first Saturday in June, and there are numerous other activities being discussed within the departments which include Columbia/Adair, Breeding and Knifley. Both James and Anita want to give a special shout out to Kim Pelley for her recent 5K Run in Memory of her son Kody. Kim donates all monies raised to the crusade. So anytime you can --- please help our local fire departments and Kim to continue to make the WHAS Crusade successful and continue to benefit the Adair County Schools.
