Opha Nathaniel Lyons, 55, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Battletown, KY, died at 5:40amET, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Campbellsville.

Funeral service is at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Montie Fugate. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT-5pm-8pmET, Saturday, September 19,2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Opha Nathaniel Lyons, 55, Taylor County, KY (1959-2015)


Opha Nathaniel Lyons was the son of the late Rev. Stanley Lyons and Anna Mae Dodson Lyons, was born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, October 31, 1959. He died at Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 55 years, 10 months, and 15 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Battletown.

He was a former owner of Lyons & Sons Construction Company.

He united in marriage to Celia Davis March 19, 1988.

Besides his wife, Celia Davis Lyons, he is survived by the following:
  • One son: Nathaniel Dakota Lyons of Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother and four sisters: Zandra Bruner and husband, Boyce of Mt. Washington; Rev. Douglas Lyons and wife, Patty, Jodetta Hale and husband, Billy of Bowling Green, KY; Davalyn Troxle and husband, Jr. of Hardinsburg, KY; and Clotene Courier and husband, Russ of Georgetown, KY

  • One brother-in-law: Rick Robbins of Hardinsburg, KY

  • his mother-in-law: Sandra Davis of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cavella Robbins.
