Adine Floyd, 88, of the Eli Community of Russell County, died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Golden Years Nursing Home in Monticello, KY.

Funeral service for Adine Floyd will be 10amCT, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Troy Grider officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Interment will be in the Freedom Cemetery.



Adine Floyd, 88, Russell County, KY (1925-2015)


She was born September 26, 1926 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jonah E. & Ada Mae Bernard Kelsey. She died Thursday, September 3, 2015, in Monticello, Wayne County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and eight days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Curtis Floyd; three sisters, Olva Harris, Polly Smith, and Jana Moran; and five brothers; Carlos Kermit Kelsey, Murlus Ormit Kelsey, Marlus Ermit Kelsey, Bernard Kelsey, and Kendall "Sam" Kelsey.

  • sister: Joy Johnson, Somerset, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews
