David L. McWhorter, Adair County, KY (1947-2015) He served two tours in Vietnam, receiving two Purple Heart awards, retiring from the US Marine Corps. He was a native of Clinton County, KY, and a resident of Adair County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of he late Larry McWhorter and Martha Lee Willen McWhorter, who survives, as does his wife, Peggy Davies McWhorter.
