Seth Aaron Eaton, 24, Taylor Co., KY native (1991-2015)

He was born in Taylor County, but grew in Columbia, KY, until 1995, when the family moved to West Virginia. Seth was full of life always cracking a joke or making someone laugh. He enjoyed playing music, singing, fishing, operating heavy equipment and hanging out with family and friends. Seth loved picking on his little sister and couldn't wait to hold his daughter Dallas Paige when she arrived. He was a member of a large, highly respected South Central Kentucky family with many relatives in Adair, Barren, Taylor, and in Wayne Counties in addition to his West Virgina kin.

Seth Aaron Eaton, 24, of Chapmanville, WV previously from Columbia and Glasgow Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

West Virginia Services will be held at 2pmCT/3pmET, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home, 220 Main Avenue, Chapmanville, WV, with David Sperry officiating. Friends may call Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 10amCT/11amET to 2pmCT/3pmCT at the funeral home.

Kentucky Services will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Hickey & Sons Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Monticello, KY. Friends may call Saturday, September 5, 2015 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, at the funeral home. Seth's final resting place will be in Elk Springs Cemetery, Monticello, KY.



Pallbearers will be Kyle Eaton, Logan Eaton, Tyler Eaton, Trevor Willis, Peyton Eaton, Delbert Ray Abbott and Tommy Davis.

He was born July 5, 1991 in Campbellsville, KY. a son of Ricky Piercy (Lisa Lutterman) of Glasgow, KY, and Paula (Donovan) Ball of Chapmanville, WV. He died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the age of 24 years, 1 month, and 25 days.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Tommy Piercy and Virgil Ball, great-grandfathers Hobert Eaton and Andrew Abbott, great grandmother, Rosie Eaton and his cousin Abby Grace Eaton.

Seth was full of life always cracking a joke or making someone laugh. He enjoyed playing music, singing, fishing, operating heavy equipment and hanging out with family and friends. Seth loved picking on his little sister and couldn't wait to hold his daughter Dallas Paige when she arrived.

He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #181, in Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include:
  • His grandparents: Dallas I & Joyce Eaton, and Irma Dean Piercy and Oma Ball

  • Great grandmother: Velma Abbott

  • Fiance: Alexandria Tackett

  • One daughter: Dallas Paige Eaton due September 18, 2015

  • Two sisters: Sarah Eaton of Chapmanville, WV and Chelsea (James) Brooks of Huntington, WV

  • Six uncles: Dallas (Kelly) Eaton II, James (Ginger) Eaton, Timothy (Debra) Eaton, Wayne (Karen) Piercy, Wesley (Dreama) Ball, Erik Ball

  • One aunt: Angie (Matt) Peel

  • Cousins: Kyle Eaton, Logan Eaton, Tyler Eaton, Trevor Willis, Tori Eaton, Hannah Eaton, Kayla Eaton, Peyton Eaton, Sophie Eaton, Alli Eaton, Aubrey Willis, Wesley Aaron Ball, Jesse Ball, Corey Ball, Drannon Ball, Sara Ball and Samuel Peel
  • and a host of great aunts and uncles and special friends
