One injured in 2-vehicle collision on KY 80 East

Westbound 1996 Dodge making left turn struck in drivers side by 2006 Ford van. Adair Deputy Brandon Hitch and Russell County Sheriff Clete MCanich investigate.

Adair County Deputy Sheriff Brandon Hitch responded to a two vehicle collision on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 3:44pmCT, seven miles east of Columbia, KY on Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY.



A 1996 Dodge being operated by Phillip Gadberry of Jamestown, KY, was traveling west on KY 80 and was attempting to make a left turn into a private road.

Ricky Wisdom of Jamestown, KY, who was operating a 2006 Ford van failed to notice Gadberry making the left turn and struck him in the driver's side pushing him into a guard rail.

Gadberry refused treatment on scene but was later transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by private vehicle for possible injuries.

Deputy Hitch was assisted on scene by Deputy Aaron Rainwater and Russell County Sheriff Clete McAnich.
