Columbia Police arrest suspect in alleged theft

A suspect was arrested and lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. Charges include theft by unlawful taking and possession of controlled substance not in proper container. Theft from a local retailer is alleged by Officer Josh Brockman.

On Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 7:30pmCT, Columbia Police Department responded to a reported theft on Russell Road.



Upon officers arrival they made contact with suspect Kimberly Pierce age 40 of Columbia. Upon further investigation, it was found that she was in possession of stolen merchandise from a local retailer. She was also found to be in possession of controlled substances.

Pierce was arrested and placed into custody at the Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY, on charges of Theft By Unlawful Taking, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. CPD Ofc. John Dial is investigating officer.

Charges by law enforcement are allegations and a person is considered innocent until found guilty in a court of law
