He was a member of Pittman Creek Jesus Name Church, was a longtime farmer, and the was owner of Grider Flea Market. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of Willie Frank and Lottie Ann Key Johnson, and the widower of Lou Willie Davidson Johnson. He leaves two direct living descendants.

Bobby Joe Johnson, age 76, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in White Hill Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5pmCT until 9pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Bobby Joe Johnson, 76, Cumberland Co., KY (1938-2015)

He was born on December 23, 1938 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Willie Frank and Lottie Ann Key Johnson. He died Wednesday, August 26, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 76 years, eight months, and three days.

He was a member of Pittman Creek Jesus Name Church, was a longtime farmer, and the owner of Grider Flea Market.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Willie Davidson Johnson, one son, Billy Joe Johnson, and three brothers, Willie O. Johnson, Paul Johnson, and Hall Johnson.

Survivors Include:
  • One daughter: Sharon Kay Dobbs and her husband Cecil of Monticello, KY
  • One grandson: Joshua Dobbs of Monticello, KY
  • One brother: Willie McKinley Johnson of Burkesville, KY
  • A host of other relatives and friends also survive.
