By Cathy Luttrell
Adair County High School Football won its first game of the season, defeating visiting Taylor County, 28-6, in a well attended game at ACHS Stadium, Columbia, KY.

Coach Travis Gay was happy with the win. "It's always nice to win the first game of the year and start out on a positive note. I thought we played really well defensively with the exception of one drive."

Coach Gay singled out some players for individual mention. Dany Grant, Josh Brown, and Shea Martin all had really nice nights, he said.

Though he is, overall, happy with offense, he said, "We did some good things offensively, but we have to protect the ball better." He added, "It was a great atmosphere and I want to thank the community for supporting these young men. Friday night at Adair County Football Stadium felt like high school football should feel."
