ACSO answers request of probation/parole; makes arrest

31-year-old Jamestown, KY, man originally arrested on criminal trespass charge. Now faces additional drug related charges. He was lodged in Adair County Regional Jail, Columbia, KY.

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded at the request of local probation and parole to a residence on Howard Samuells Road about 10 miles south of Columbia on August 24, 2015. Upon arrival officers observed Renney Dykes, 31, of Jamestown, KY, in a vehicle on the property.



Dykes was non-compliant by being at said residence and was initially taken into custody for criminal trespassing. A search of vehicle Dykes was using yielded a found substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Dykes was charged with criminal trespassing 3rd degree, a misdemeanor, nd possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine 1st, a felony.

Dykes was lodged in the Adair County Jail. Deputy Justin Cross was the arresting officer. --Deputy Adam Cravens
