He was a native of Russell County, KY and his final resting place will be in McBeath Cemetery in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Otha & Vada Wilson Blair. His wife Blair, survives. He leaves 11 direct and 9 step living descendants. He was retired from General Electric after a career working on aircraft engine. He was a United States Navy veteran and will be accorded full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard at committal rites. He was a member of the Clear Fork Baptist Church.

Paul W. Blair, 85, of Russell Springs, KY, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Christian Care Center of Lancaster, KY.

Funeral services will be 12pmCT. Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Thomas Blair and Bro. Joe Sullivan officiating. Visitation is after 10amCT Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the McBeath Cemetery, Russell County, KY, with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.

He was born September 30, 1929 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of to the late Otha & Vada Wilson Blair. He died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in Lancaster, Garrard County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 10 moths, and 12 days.

He worked for General Electric working on aircraft engines.

Mr. Blair was a Veteran of US Navy and was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jo Blair.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Doris Blair, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sons: Ric (Sukjo) Blair, Nashville, TN; Ronald (Kathy) Blair, Lexington, KY; and Danny (Tammy) Blair, Norwood, Ohio

  • Five grandchildren: Paul, Virginia, Pamela Jo (John) Pennington, Daniel and Brandon

  • Three great grandchildren: Samantha Jo, Daniel Joseph, Jaxon Ryder

  • One step son: Todd (Kerri) Barnes, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three step grandchildren: Samantha, Tiffani, Rebecca

  • Five step great grandchildren: Jaelyn, Brayden, Katie, Joshua, Alexandra

  • One sister: Betty Smith, Russell Springs, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews
