Jon Halsey: A plug for Rural Mail Carriers, RFD

His own (unnamed) rural carrier is a gem. Rural mail carriers a breed apart, he says

Jon Halsey writes:
While I share most of Ralph Roy's criticisms of the USPS, I do have to put in a plug for the RFD portion. Our rural carrier is a gem and often goes way above and beyond. I also want to state for the record that this has been my life's experience with Rural Mail Carriers across the country. They definitely seem to be a "breed apart" and I highly admire them and their extraordinary dedication to service. I have no doubt that many rural patrons have remarkable stories to tell.

If the Management portion could be reformed in the Rural Carriers image, we would again have a very valuable service indeed. - Jon Halsey
