Mrs. Margie M. M. Shepherd, Burkesviille, KY (d. 3 Aug 2015) She was born in Cumberland County Kentucky, the daughter of Russell and Clara McCoy Murphy. She was the widow of the late Lawrence Russell Shepherd. She leaves four direct living descendants. She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky and a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11amCT, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Rev. R. Thomas Wilson and Rev. Gary E. Cash officiating. Songs as requested by Margie, will be sung by her nephew, Bronson N. Murphy Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Brandon Murphy, Glen Murphy, Bruce Murphy, Billy Newell Guffey, Todd Spears and Kevin Hunt. The family will receive friends after 11amCT on, Friday, August 7, 2015, until the funeral hour on Saturday. She was born in Cumberland County Kentucky, the daughter of Russell and Clara McCoy Murphy. She was a member of the Burkesville First United Methodist Church in Burkesville, Kentucky and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Russell Shepherd, Sr.; her sons, Lawrence Russell "Larry" Shepherd, Jr., and Steven Dale Shepherd; her brothers, Dale Murphy and Don Murphy; and her sisters, Betty Vincent and Barbara Allen.
