Harry Loyd Stinson, Casey Co., KY (1925-2015)

He was a longtime employee of NCR Cash Registers. He was a proud WWII Army veteran serving 28 months in the South Pacific with the 37th Cavalry Reconnissance troop attached to the 37th Infantry Division. He was a native of Rowan County, KY, and a resident of Casey County, KY at the time of his death. His wife of 28 years, Kathy Henson Stinson, survives. He leaves one direct living descendant.

Harry Loyd Stinson, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. He was 90.

Graveside services are 12:30pmCT/1:30pmET, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6614 Danville Road, Nicholasville, KY. Military honors will be provided by the Casey County Honor Guard.



Harry Loyd Stinson, Casey Co., KY (1925-2015)


Born January 14, 1925 in Rowan County, KY, he was the son of the late Luthor and Lucille Reeder Stinson. He died Sunday, August 2, 2015 in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 90 years, six months, and 19 days.

He was a longtime employee of NCR Cash Registers. He was a proud WWII Army veteran serving 28 months in the South Pacific with the 37 th Cavalry Recon. troop attached to the 37 th Infantry Division.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Henson Stinson of Liberty, KY, whom he married October 10, 1986, and the following:
  • A son: Larry (and Barbara) Stinson of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • A sister Kathryn Osborne of Manassas, VA

  • And half-sister: Joy (and Ken) Lee of Dundee, Ohio
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Howard Stinson; and a sister, Mattie Lou Stewart. Send condolences to the family of Harry Lloyd Stinson
