Guest editorial comment from Truly Dedicated Lindsey Employee Inspired by letters of support from Community Boosters commenting on the pride they take in the beauty they enjoy when passing by or visiting the campus. As anticipation grows for the annual fall return of the student body to enliven the days of fall and winter here, one member of the LWC staff writes to give an inside look of how it happens. Classes resume on The Hill at 8amCT, Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Click on headline for complete guest editorial By one of so many Truly Dedicated Lindsey Wilson Employees The true dedication of the employees at LWC cannot be fully told. On a daily basis they go beyond what is required of them. In my many years of working there I have seen the true spirit of pride unfold. Mike Newton, Director of Plant Operations, has, over time there, put together a crew of dedicated individuals who rise to the occasion when called upon. Lindsey does everything in-house. When the new signs at the entrances, that were just built: Only thing that was not In-house was the concrete truck. The college employees have not had raises in a few years, yet these men and women stay and perform there task everyday out love for the school and the community. It is source of pride to work for a institution such as this. Every commode is cleaned daily. The lawn is always neatly trimmed. Lights are always shining when they are supposed to be. Hot meals that the dining center prepares every day are delicious. They Get it done! And it comes from the the leadership and family atmosphere that you feel when the time clock is punched. Thank you. s/Sign me a Truly Dedicated Lindsey Wilson Employee This story was posted on 2015-08-01 06:36:23
