Remembering Peggy Tarter: Despite clutter, she could find anything About: Peggy Ann Tarter, 78, Casey County, KY (1936-2015) By Frances Salyers, as related to Ed Waggener It was sad to learn of the passing of Peggy Tarter, proprietor of Tarter's Store at Dunnville. What a wonderful lady. Her store was cluttered and stacked so much that there would usually be just one pathway from the front to the back. If you were looking a a particular item, you almost always had to ask her for help - no way to find it on your own. But she, on the other hand, could find anything, whether you asked her for a deck of Rook Cards or a new wick for a kerosene lantern - she knew right where it was. She will be missed by all those of my time. - Frances Salyers - proprietor, D & F Grocery & Deli, 4731 Edmonton Road, Gradyville, KY. This story was posted on 2015-07-28 05:54:24
