Bull Run Charity Music Fest is Sat 1 Aug 2015 In its first five years BRCMF has raised over $40,000 and distributed proceeds locally and nationally. Starting this year 100% of all proceeds will stay here at home. It's now going to serve as a fund to lend a helping hand to community members struggling with means to travel for medical treatments, families who have been victims of traumatic injury, natural disaster, loss of home, etc. Click on headline for complete story by Easton Bryant A homegrown music festival for local charity in Columbia, the Bull Run Charity MusicFest has become one of the most anticipated events of each summer in south-central Kentucky. The 6th annual Bull Run Charity MusicFest edition is set to take place Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1601 Bull Run Road, Columbia, KY. Music will start at 12:30pmCT and continue into the evening. As always, exceptionally good eats will be available throughout the day. This year's entertainment will come from across The Commonwealth as well as Indiana and Tennessee to play for the crowd that will pile onto the Bryant family farm. There may even be a sighting of a member or two from The Classic Sterlings. BRCMF has raised over $40,000 over the years for both local and national beneficiaries, but this year marks an important and exciting change: 100% of all proceeds will stay local. It's now going to serve as a fund to lend a helping hand to our own...our own community members who are struggling with means to travel for medical treatments, families in our community who have been victims of traumatic injury, natural disaster, loss of home, etc. A small, diverse group of designated and community members will help allocate the funds to various beneficiaries throughout the coming year - enough for a helping hand to pick someone up a bit. We're not expecting to save the world here, just to be a light on someone's cloudy day. Contact me via easton@salvagetownmusic.com or call 380-1230 Monday-Friday with any questions. Everyone is welcome at the Bull Run Charity MusicFest. There is no admission, but any contribution you see fit is highly encouraged! This story was posted on 2015-07-23 13:28:47
