Bernice Marcum, 84, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 11:46pmET, Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Campbellsville, KY. Funeral services will be at 10amCT/11amET,, Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Montie Fugate and Rev. Tony Franklin. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.

Bernice Marcum of Campbellsville, KY was the daughter of the late Olen Knight and Ruth Stapleton Knight. She was born June 24, 1931, in Adair County, KY. She died, Sunday, July 19, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 84 years, 25 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after forty-one years of service and also an employee of Due Dirty Laundry for eight years.

She united in marriage to Walter “Woodie” Marcum February 28, 1959. He preceded her in death September 11, 2002.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Julie Marcum of Campbellsville, KY

  • One grandson: Corey Marcum of Campbellsville, KY

  • One step-grandson: Brandon Bowling of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Charles Knight, Martha Mann and Geneva Pendleton.
