He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Dallas and Betty Davidson Riley. He leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Douglas Wayne "Doug" Riley age 61 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral service will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Ted Burchett and Rev. R. Thomas Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Gaines Hill Cemetery. The family requests visitation from 2pmCT until 9pmCT, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY.

Doug was born on April 04, 1954 in Cumberland County, KY. He was the son of the late Dallas and Betty Davidson Riley. He died Thursday, July 16, 2015, in Nashville, Davidson County, TN, at the age of 61 years, three months, and 12 days.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Martha Jones Riley of Burkesville, KY

  • One son: Terry Riley (Laura) of Burkesville, KY

  • Two daughters: Tonya Rigsby (Jim) of Summer Shade, KY and Heather Capps (Jonathan) of Burkesville, KY
  • Three brothers: Donnie Riley (Lori) of Burkesville, KY; Johnny Riley (Donita) of Burkesville, KY; and Kelly Riley (Barbara) of Somerset, KY

  • Two Sisters: Kathy Groce (James Pruitt) of Burkesville, KY' and Cheryl Gilbert (Robert) of Burkesville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Lauren Riley, Molly Rigsby, James Dallas Riley, Lane Rigsby, Kyle Riley, Callie Capps, John Weston Capps

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
