Marie Hill, 85, of Jamestown, KY, passed away on Sunday June 21,2015, at Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center, Somerset, KY.

Funeral Services for Marie Hill will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 2pmCT on Wed. June 24 ,2015, with Bro. Barry Bradshaw officiating. Friends may visit after 10:30amCT on Wednesday at the funeral home.Burial in the Dixon Cemetery in Jamestown, KY.



Marie Hill, 85, Russell County, KY (1930-2015)

She was born in Columbia, Adair County, KY on Thursday, March 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Emma(Sullivan) and Finis Cape. She died Sunday, June 22, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 83 years, three months, and 16 days.

She worked as a factory worker.

Marie is survived by the following:
  • A son: Phillip (Joyce) Hill of Russell Springs, KY

  • A sister: Sarah Burchett of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • And six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edwin Hill; four sisters, Opal Hadley, Hallie Woodville, Mildred Cox and Gladys Melson; and one brother Preston (Sonny) Cape.
