Jerry Hatter, 66, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral services are 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Richard Buckner officiating. Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10amCT/11amET until the funeral funeral service.

He was born Tuesday, September 7, 1948 in Lincoln County, KY. He was the son of Opal Sims Hatter and the late Ben Marshall Hatter. He died Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 66 years, nine months,and 13 days.

He was a Vietnam Army veteran, carpenter, and a member of the Church of God. Jerry loved working in his flowers.

He is survived by his mother, Opal Sims Hatter of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • A companion: Donna Johnson of Liberty, KY

  • Three sons: Joey (and Diana) Combs of Liberty, KY; Nathan (and Debbie) Hatter of Middleton, Ohio; and Eric (and Jennifer) Hamilton of Yosemite, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • and four brothers: Gary Hatter of Harrodsburg, KY; Donnie Hatter of Liberty, KY; Danny Hatter of Liberty, KY; and Sherman Hatter of Nancy, KY

  • In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Judes Children Hospital in memory of Jerry Hatter.
