Roxie Leontine White, 98, Green Co., KY (1916-2015)

She was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of Eugene Neagle and Cora Mae Kessler Neagle and the widow of Rommie Lewis "Pete" White. She leaves 19 direct living descendants. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Ladies Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Roxie Leontine Neagle White, 98, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Diversicare of Glasgow, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Roxie Leontine White will be conducted at 10amCT, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 N Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Ladies Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Garnett Wayne Davis, and Bro. James Wright will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pm until 9pmCT, Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Randy Davenport, Mike Dickson, Noah Wright, Robert Neagle, Robbie Simpson, Rual W. Neagle, and Roger D. Neagle.

Mrs. Roxie Leontine Neagle White of Greensburg, KY, was the daughter of the late Eugene Neagle and Cora Mae Kessler Neagle. She was born on July 17, 1916 in Green County, KY. She departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Diversicare of Glasgow, Barren County, KY. She was 98 years, 10 months, and 29 days of age.

She united in marriage to Rommie Lewis "Pete" White on January 21, 1933 who preceded her in death on April 13, 1999.

Survivors include:
  • A son and daughter-in-law: Don and Elma White of Louisville, KY

  • Two daughters and sons-in-law: Wanda and James Dickson of Cave City, KY; and Fay and J.W. Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Teresa Flewwellin of LaGrange,KY; Mike Dickson of Alvaton, KY; and James Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • Seven great-grandchildren: Phillip Flewwellin of North Carolina, Tony Flewwellin, Chris Flewwellin both of Ohio, Craig Dickson of Nebraska, amd Michaela Wright, Noah Wright, and Mckena Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • Six great-great-grandchildren: Taylor, Alleigh, Lilly, Tucker, Jazlyn, and Bradin Flewwellin

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. White was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Maurine McFelia, Ruth Beard, Clifton Neagle, Taylor Neagle, and Rollin Neagle.
