Hopes Fairground/C-ville intersection open by Fair Time

Torres Family Circus will be new part of 2015 Adair County Fair. Fair receives visitors from all across the year.

By Jennifer Carter

The Adair County Jaycees and Fair Association are hoping that the construction will be completed ahead of schedule. July 8, 2015, will be right in the middle of the 2015 Adair County Fair. The detours that are familiar to us locals are not familiar to the many people that attend the fair from other counties and states.

We do receive visitors from all across the state that attend the fair each year. We have visitors from other county fairs, the state Fair Association and very important dignitaries will be attending this years fair. Visitors not only participate in some of our events, but they are vacationing here or just home for a family visit.

We also have people from other states that attend our fair to participate or just have a fun night out with family and friends. Our carnival Dixieland Amusements will be traveling through on July 4th weekend to start setting up along with the Torres Family Circus a new event for this years fair.

During this eventful week these fair attendees and workers eat, shop and purchase gas in Columbia. The Fair is a huge contributor to the local economy. So if construction is not complete by Fair time expect more confused people turning around or asking for directions.

Thank you

Jennifer Carter
