Lyndon Dale Thomas, 81, Adair Co., KY (1933-2015)

He was a member of Columbia Church of Christ, a US Navy Veteran, and a retired industrial painter. He was a native of Estill County, KY and a resident of Adair County, KY at the time of his death. His wife Martha Hamm Thomas, survives. He leaves 13 direct and nine step living descendants. Services and final resting place will be in Porter County, IN

Lyndon Dale Thomas, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 3:30 at his residence.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11amCT, at Rees Funeral Home, 5341 Central, Portage, IN. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Portage, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, June 12, 2015, from 2pm-4pmCT and 6pm-8pmCT, at Rees Funeral Home.

He was born September 2, 1933, in Irvine, Estill County, KY. He was the son of the late Amile and Ethel Clemons Thomas. He died Sunday, June 7, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 81 years, nine months, and five days.

He was a member of Columbia Church of Christ, a US Navy Veteran and a retired industrial painter.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife: Martha Hamm Thomas of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Michael (Esther) Thomas of Urbana, IL

  • Three step-children: Rick (Mona) Thomas of Monroe, LA; Amy (Mark) Allenspach of Springs, MI; and Cindy (Dave) Stanley of Portage, IN.

  • Five grandchildren: Jessica (Nick), Crissy (Apollo), and Zack (Becky), Stephen

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • Five step-grandchildren

  • One step-great-grandchild
