Injury collision occurs around noon today at C-ville, LW Streets The collision occurs in the detour work area impacted by construction work. 'Columbia Police would like to remind everyone to use extra caution when travelling these roadways: Lindsey Wilson street, Sandusky street, Wain street, and Young street, along with others in area are experiencing a large amount of traffic due to the construction on Campbellsville street. These streets are designed primarily as residential streets, but are having to temporally be used as an alternative route for thru traffic.' - Ofc. Josh Brockman By Ofc. Josh Brockman, Public Information Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross Columbia Police Department investigated two vehicle collision at intersection of Lindsey Wilson Street and Campbellsville Street. on Monday, 8 Jun 2015. At 12:35pmCT, Columbia Police were notified of a collision with injuries on Campbellsville Street. Upon investigation it was found that unit 1, a 2012 Toyota truck operated by 23 year old Seth Taylor of Chickamauga, GA had attempted a left hand turn into Lindsey Wilson Street, and struck unit 2, operated by 79 year old Peggy Harrison, of Knifley KY who was attempting to pull onto Campbellsville Street in her 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier. Harrison was treated on scene by Adair County EMS then transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for additional treatment. Taylor was uninjured and refused treatment or transport to medical facility. The collision is being investigated by CPD Ofc. Josh Brockman. Brockman was assisted on scene by Chief Jason Cross, Adair County EMS, and Adair County Emergency Management Director Mike Keltner.
