Marion Co., KY man arrested following pursuit

Driver alleged to have fled when Tpr. Morris Farris attempted to stop GMC 2-15 pickup. KSP pursuit began on US 68 west of Campbellsville and was terminated when the pickup entered the city limits of Campbellsville. Campbellsville PD and TCSO encounter same vehicle. Driver fled again, but was apprehended after he turned south on KY 55 and pulled into the tail water recreation area.

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY – 26-year-old James Sandusky, of Lebanon, KY was arrested today and charged with Speeding, Reckless Driving, Fleeing and Evading 1st, Improper Passing and 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st (Police Officer).



Sandusky was operating a GMC S-15 pickup and was being stopped by Tpr. Morris Farris for a speeding violation when he failed to stop and attempted to flee. The pursuit began on US 68, west of Campbellsville, in Taylor County and was terminated when it entered the city limits of Campbellsville.

Campbellsville City Police and Deputies with the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department later encountered the same vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. Sandusky fled again and was apprehended by Campbellsville Police officers when he turned south on KY 55 and pulled into the tail water recreation area.

Sandusky was lodged in the Taylor County Jail. Tpr. Morris Farris is investigating.
