Lifesize figure points way to Paddle Adair launch

2015-05-30 - Townside of Russell Creek Bridge, Columbia, KY - Photo from the Deputy Adair County CJE. ColumbiaMagazine.com has received this iPhoto of a life size figure directing Paddle Adair participants and spectators to the launch site for Paddle Adair, a historic moment in Adair County history. The submission did not say whether is really Charles Grimsley, the father of Adair County Parks & Recreation Commission, a holograph (they can do that now), or an standup lifelike sign like teenage girls used to have in their bedrooms of Elvis or Eddie Fisher. For sure, anyone Lost in Columbia, KY, today will find their way because of this. Behind the figue on the left is Oak Street, one of the detours to Paddle Adair Launch. Behind the figure is the Long Orange Line, with the Shut Down Intersection of Fairground & Campbellsville Streets, where Burton's Station used to be. - CM.
