Opal Hall Appleby, 49, of Jamestown, KY passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her residence in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral Services for Opal Hall Appleby will be Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1pmCT, at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Friends may visit Friday after 4pmCT, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

Opal was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY on February 20, 1966, a daughter of the late Irene (Johnson) and Herman Hall. She died Thursday, May 14, 2015, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 49 years, two monthsm, and 24 days.

She was a homemaker and the wife of Larry Appleby.

Opal is survived by the following:
  • A daughter: Melinda Belt, Jamestown, KY

  • Four sons: Larry R Jr, Barry, Jimmy, and Nathan Appleby, all of Jamestown, KY

  • Four sisters: Alma Crew of Russell Springs, KY; Betty McQueary and Faye Sharp of Liberty, KY; and Lettie Harmon of Greensburg, KY

  • Six grandchildren
Opal is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bud, Earl and Eddie Hall; five sisters, Helen Crew, Caty Compton, Lizzie Spaw, Mable Passmore, and Mary Ann Simpson.
