Driver dies in Louisville following Lincoln Parkway collision

Victim was driver of car which ran into the rear of a stopped tractor trailer rig

Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY

(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY.) –Kentucky State Police Post 4 is investigating a Fatality Accident that occurred on Lincoln Parkway in Elizabethtown. On May 12, 2015 at approximately 9:22pmET, Jason Rednour (36) of Missouri was stopped in his 2005 Peterbuilt tractor pulling a flatbed trailer in the Southbound slow lane of Lincoln Pkwy. He was attempting to turn right onto Harvest Drive.



Odis Ray Burroughs (58) of Hodgenville, KY was also traveling in the Southbound slow lane in his passenger vehicle. For unknown reasons Mr. Burroughs failed to stop and struck the rear of the flat bed trailer. He suffered severe injuries from the accident and was later pronounced dead at University of Louisville Hospital. Mr. Rednour was uninjured. The accident is being investigated by accident reconstructionist, Tpr. Brandon Brooks. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Elizabethtown Police Dept., Hardin Co. Sheriff's Dept. and Hardin Co. EMS.
