Myrtie Parmley, 95, Cumberland Co., KY, (1920-2015)

She was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Garfield Parmlet and Lovie Elliott Parmley. She the matriarch of a very large, respected family. She leaves 47 direct living descendants spanning four generations. She was a member of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ and a homemaker.

Myrtie Parmley age 95, of Burkesville, KY (a resident of Cumberland Valley Manor) passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1pmCt, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation 6pm-9pmCT, P.M. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

Myrtie was born on March 07, 1920 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Garfield Parmley and Lovie Elliott Parmley. She died Monday, May 11, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 95 years, two months, and four days.

She was a member of Church of our Lord Jesus Christ and a homemaker.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters: Ochia Anders and Sheryl Parmley both of Burkesville, KY, and Venetta Parmley of Louisville, KY

  • One son: Weldon Parmley(Lucille) of Burkesville, KY

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Twenty-one great grandchildren

  • Seven great great grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
