Campbellsville U to graduate 417 in 3 ceremonies Fri & Sat Campbellsville University will award degrees to 417 students in three different ceremonies on May 8 and 9, for a total of 629 for the academic year.

McKinney, news and publications coordinator CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Campbellsville University will award 417 graduate and undergraduate degrees in three ceremonies in her May commencements Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. There will be a senior walk at 6:30 p.m. for the graduate ceremony May 8 beginning in the Davenport Student Commons and moving to Ransdell Chapel. On Saturday, May 9, at 8:30 a.m., there will be the senior walk for the 9 a.m. ceremony and at 11:30 a.m. for the noon ceremony, both in front of Montgomery Library, and moving to Powell Athletic Center. Additionally, the university had 212 December candidates for commencement making a total of 629 graduates for the 2014-15 academic year. Graduate Commencement At 7 p.m. Friday, 143 master's candidates will receive their diplomas at Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville. These include:
Undergraduate Commencement At 9 a.m. Saturday, 129 bachelor of science students will receive their diplomas in Powell Athletic Center at 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville. At Noon on Saturday, 145 students will receive associate of science (22), associate in nursing (21), bachelor of music (4), bachelor of arts (14), bachelor of science in business administration (53), bachelor of nursing (10) and bachelor of social work (21). Dr. Michael V. Carter, president, who is serving in his 17th year, will present an award to Dr. Donnie Gosser, a member of the Campbellsville University Board of Trustees, who will receive the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award on Friday night. On Saturday at 9 a.m., an honorary degree in higher education administration will be given to Dr. Frank Cheatham, senior vice president for academic affairs, and 1965 graduate of CU, as well as the CU Leadership Award to Dr. E. Bruce Heilman, chancellor of the University of Richmond, and member of the Board of Trustees, CU class of 1949. At noon, the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award will be presented to Ellie Ruth McKinley, class of 2015. Heilman will give the commencement addresses at both undergraduate ceremonies on Saturday. Carter and Cheatham will confer the degrees and present the students' names, respectively, at all ceremonies. Paula Smith, director of alumni relations, will install the alumni. DVDs of the graduation ceremony will be sold for $25 in the lobbies of both Ransdell Chapel and Powell Athletic Center. You can also order online by going to www.campbellsville.edu/wlcu.
