One injured when car-deer collision occurs on Liberty Road

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle collision on Liberty Road/KY 206 just passt Greenhills Road, Columbia, KY, on Wednesday night, May 6, 2015. Deputy Adam Cravens investigated the accident. Columbia Police, KSP, and Constable also responded to the scene. - Deputy Adam Cravens



Accident occurred when Decota Biggerstaff 22, of Columbia, KY, was operating his 1992 Geo Tracker when he struck a deer in the roadway. Upon impact the vehicle rolled before stopping in the ditch line on its side.

Biggerstaff was unhurt, his passenger, a 16 year old female, was taken from the scene to Westlake by Adair EMS for possible injuries. Biggerstaff was cited for failure to show proof of insurance.

Neither party was wearing a seatbelt.
