Mr. Billie Gene Booher, age 74, of Columbia, Kentucky, formerly of Cumberland County, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his residence in Columbia, Kentucky.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Guthrie Chapel Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The Family will receive friends from 3pmCT on Sunday, May 3, 2015 until the funeral hour on Monday.



Billie Gene Booher, Adair Co., KY (1941-2015)


He was born in Clinton County, Kentucky on Monday, March 17, 1941, the son of James Ed and Ovie Dovie Davidson Booher. He died Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 74 years, one month, and six days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Killman Booher; his daughter, Gloria Jean Booher; his son, Jimmy Dale Pitcock; and his sister, Monzell Hill.

He is survived by the following:
  • His children: Marcus Booher of Columbia, Kentucky; Beverly (and Ronnie) Farley of Monterey, Tennessee; Ronnie Pitcock of Livingston, Tennessee; Billy Pitcock, Jr.; of Russellville, Kentucky,; Randall Pitcock of Russell Springs, Kentucky; Jerry Pitcock of Tompkinsville, Kentucky

  • His daughter-in-law: Diana Pitcock of Arkansas

  • His siblings: Seritha Booher of Burkesville, Kentucky; Maxine Allen of Bloomington, Indiana; Bro. Sam Ed (and Earlene) Booher of Albany, Kentucky; Joe (and Bonnie) Booher of Albany, Kentucky; Imogene (and Welby) Fletcher of Burkesville, Kentucky; Randa (and Virgil) Hughes of Louisville, Kentucky

  • Several grandchildren

  • Several great-grandchildren

  • Family friends: Mae Scott, Nacina Scott, Lewis D. Scott, all of Burkesville, Kentucky, and Wendell Burton of Columbia, Kentucky.
