Finding new ways to review for KPREP

Mrs. Waddell has figured it out!

By Shamarie Claiborne

With the KPREP right around the corner, 6th grade Science Teacher Debra Waddell, has been coming up with creative ideas to not only keep her students focused at this time of the year, but also to reinforce core content. Her students have been working on math questions by looking at statistical data collected from an experiment. They dropped pennies from a specific height, then recorded where they landed within several bulls eyes. The final step was plotting the information on a line plot, looking for gaps, clusters, skews and outliers! Not only were her students focused and reinforcing past lessons, but they were having fun doing it! Kudos Mrs. Waddell!
