Mary Ann Brown: More patrols, video cameras needed

The Bypass Safety issue

By Mary Ann Brown

Whether it is me or whomever, police need to patrol the area; if necessary sit by the side of the roads and pass out speeding tickets till people get the general idea that that road is not a race track and you need to pay attention when driving.

Elizabethtown does have these cameras on some of their roads and if you get caught speeding, running red lights or stop signs they send you a ticket in the mail and you have no choice but pay it.

People have got to get back to just driving and forget everything else; my life and others lives are worth more than music, GPS, cell phones, texting, eating, lighting up a cigarette and lord only knows where their mind is . . . and if the same people are caught again, then suspend their license!
