Anna Mary Brockman, 88, Green Co., KY (1927-2015)

She was the matriarch of a highly regarded Taylor County, KY, family. She was the widow of the late Albert Brockman. She was an former employee of Taylor County Hospital and a member of Saloma Baptist Church. She leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Anna Mary Brockman of Campbellsville, KY the daughter of the late William Gobel Perkins and Ivy Milby Perkins was born April 9, 1927 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 4:10amCT, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Greensburg, Green County, KY at the age of 88 years, 5 days.

Visitation will be from 4pm-7pmCT, 5pm-8pmET, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be at 10amCT/ 11amET, Friday, April 17, 2015 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home Rev. Lawrence Brockman, Jr., Rev. Travis Keltner and Rev. John Chowning will officiate. Burial will be in Spurlington United Methodist Church Cemetery.


Anna Mary Brockman professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Taylor Regional Hospital.

She united in marriage to Albert Brockman December 14, 1946. He preceded her in death January 24, 1983.

She is survived by
  • Two sons and one daughter: Bobby Brockman and wife, Sonja and Sandra Spurling and husband, Danny of Campbellsville and Joe Brockman and wife, Amy of Windsor;
  • Eight granddaughters and one grandson: Shelia Stamp, Shelly Ford, Tina Stapleton, Rachel Brockman, Megan Spurling, Melanie Brockman, Hope Brockman, Savanna Brockman and Aiden Brockman;
  • Six great-grandchildren;
  • Three great-great-grandchildren;
  • One brother and four sisters: Allen Perkins and wife, Mary Ola, Sarah Matt Allen, Louise Murphy, Zelda Perkins and Betty Sue Dotson;
  • Several nieces and nephews
  • Many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Buddy Brockman December 31, 1982 and six brothers and two sisters.
