She was the daughter of the late David and Nanny Wall Farmer and the widow of Harlin Mings. She was a former resident of Pellyton, Adair County, KY and will be laid to rest in Columbia, KY. She was the matriarch of a very large, highly respected family.

Dwade Tolou Mings, 97, of Campbellsville, KY, formerly of the Pellyton community, Adair County, KY,, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at 10:02pmET, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

Funeral service will be Monday, April 6, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Sunday, April 5, 2015.



Casket Bearers: Herbert Taylor, Carl Mings, Dwight Kerr, Tony Kerr, Alvin D. Giles, and Jimmy Stephens.

She was born May 17, 1917. She was the daughter of the late David and Nanny Wall Farmer. She died Friday, April 3, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 97 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlin Mings; two sons and three daughters, Russell & Kenneth Mings, Freda Stotts, Helen Bradley and Ruby Cave. Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Shirley Murphy of Campbellsville, KY

  • One son: Carl (Delilah) Mings of Pellyton, KY

  • One sister: Pauline Brenneman of Rittman, Ohio

  • Twenty-one grandchildren

  • Several great and great-grandchildren
