Beatrice Lee Dobson Stearman, 89, Summersville, KY (1926-2015)

She was a native of Green County, KY and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was a member of a highly regarded Green County, KY, family. She was the widow of Marvin Lewis Stearman. She leaves seven direct and one step living descendants. She was a member of Hodges Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Beatrice Lee Dobson Stearman of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Howard Leslie Dobson and Flora Marr Dobson, was born on February 27, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home in Summersville. She was 89 years, one month, and three days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Lee Dobson will be conducted at 1pmCT, Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Hodges Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Meryl Young, and Bro. Mike Moon will be officiating.Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Tuesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral services.



Pallbearers: Shelby Warren, Charlie Milby, Author Chaudoin, Ernest Price, Mark Chaudoin, Roy Pruitt, William Vaughn, Robert Glasscoe

Honorary pallbearers: Brenda Chaudoin, Betty Sue Milby, Charlotte Stumph, Christa Lowery, Leslie Wollen, Sheila Davenport, Jessi Hall, Samantha Price, Connie Glasscoe, Teresa Penick, and Francis Money.

Mrs. Beatrice Lee Dobson Stearman of Summersville, Kentucky (1926-2015) She was a daughter of the late Howard Leslie Dobson and Flora Marr Dobson. She was born on February 27, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky, and departed this life Monday, March 30, 2015 at her home in Summersville, Green County, KY. She was 89 years, one month, and three days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Hodges Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, and had a career as dietary cook devoting her life to helping others. She will be remembered for her unconditional loving heart and her compassion for others.

She united in marriage to Marvin Lewis Stearman on December 17, 1947 who preceded her in death on May 9, 2001.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Janice Stearman Neagle of Summersville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Brian Lewis Neagle and his wife Jennifer Humphress Neagle, Mindy Lee Spanding and her husband Eric James Spanding, Brynn Janice Turcotte and her husband Kyle Richard Turcotte all of Summersville, KY
  • Three great-grandchildren: Kylie Brynn Turcotte, Brynna Grace Turcotte, and Haylee Renea Spanding all of Summersville, KY

  • A step-great-grandson: Austin Tyler Spanding

  • A sister: Elsie Beams of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother-in-law: Charlie Warren

  • A sister-in-law: Louise Dobson

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Stearman was also preceded in death by her step-mother: Lilly Dobson; a brother: Charles Dobson; and a sister: Dorothy Warren.
