Two vehicle collision at Bypass, Burkesville ST, injures 5

Extrication required from both vehicles. All taken to Westlake; three later airlifted to UL Hospital in Louisville for further treatment. One vehicle occupied by local driver, passengers; second vehicle from Buffalo, KY.

On Sunday, March 15, 2015 Columbia Police Department responded to an injury accident at the intersection of Burkesville Street and the Veterans Bypass.

The accident occurred when a 2013 Ford Fiesta being operated by Lester Crosswhite, 44, Buffalo, KU who was traveling North on KY 55 Bypass and failed to stop at the stoplight. striking a 2004 Ford Taurus being operated by Erica Hagan, 19, of Columbia, KY, who was traveling East on Burkesville Road.



Hagan and her passengers, Joseph Sneed, 12, Joshua Sheridan, 18, and Jacob Sneed, 17, all of Columbia, KY, were transported along with Crosswhite to Westlake Regional Hospital by the Adair County Ambulance Service.

Crosswhite, Jacob Sneed and Joseph Sneed were taken by air ambulance to Louisville for further treatment. The accident was investigated by Sgt. Tracy McCarol and CPD officer Charles Greer whol assisted by Adair Search and Rescue and the Adair County Fire Department. Individuals were extricated from both vehicles.

Jessica Hagan, Columbia, KY, was operating this 2004 Ford Taurus on Sunday, March 15, 2015, which was struck by a 2013 Ford Fiesta operated by Lester Crosswhite of Lebanon, KY. Above, Lynn Franklin makes a final check before leaving the car in the storage age. Jessica's father, Bro. Jesse Hagan, is an employee of Lynn's. All four occupants of the car were taken to Westlake Regional Hospital.
