Ruby Eugenia Polson, 89, Metcalfe Co., KY (d. 5 Mar 2015)

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dessie Kelly Cox Henry. She leaves six direct living descendants. She was a retired school teacher of the Metcalfe County School system and member of the Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church were she taught Sunday school for many years. Ruby was active in various community activities.

Ruby Eugenia Polson age 89 of Edmonton, KY, died Thursday, March 05, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pmCT Saturday, March 7, 2015, and after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Frank and Dessie Kelly Cox Henry. She was a retired school teacher of the Metcalfe County School system and member of the Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church were she taught Sunday school for many years. Ruby was active in various community activities.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Freddie and wife Judy Polson of Knob Lick, KY; and Jerry Polson of Cave City, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Shane Polson, Casey Polson, Summer Polson and Trevor Polson and wife Meghan

  • A neice Alice (Burnell) Thompson and their son Steve

  • Nephews: Doug (Kim) Smith and daughters Annie and Sarah; Joe (Jill) Smith and daughter Taylor
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter in law Martha Polson and three sisters. Lillian Cassady, Lena Genoveley and Mary Smith.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
