Chris Bennett is teaching Contracting in KY at SCC Bennett, a resident of Columbia, KY, is a master electrician who has been trained in leadership and business management. He was professionally trained in managing general electrician teams and has experience in sales, human resources, payroll accounting, computer systems, MAC, PC, and computer network installation. As a state certified commercial electrical inspector he has acquired a vast knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA safety requirements By Allison Horseman News from Somerset Community College SOMERSET, KY, (2 Mar 2015) - Licensed journeyman or master HVAC technicians that also have an electrical contractor license are now able to obtain all the necessary continuing education requirements at one time by taking a new course at Somerset Community College (SCC) entitled Contracting in Kentucky. This new course meets both requirements for HVAC and/or electrical contractor continuing education. The Contracting in Kentucky course is being taught by Chris Bennett and offers an introduction to the various facets of establishing, operating and owning an electrical contracting business. Topics covered include legal forms of business organizations, financial and accounting issues, risk management and insurance, marketing, production, human resource requirements, OSHA Safety Regulations for skilled trades, retirement planning and workman's compensation issues. Quality management techniques will also be addressed. Bennett is a master electrician Bennett is a master electrician who has been trained in leadership and business management.
