LWC Women's Swimming No. 9 in final NAIA Coaches Poll

Blue Raiders held the No. 9 ranking in all three regular-season polls this year

COLUMBIA, KY. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team wraps up the regular season at No. 9 in the final NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving Coaches' Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.




The Blue Raiders received 13 total voting points in the national poll.

It marks the third-consecutive poll Lindsey Wilson has been ranked at the No. 9 spot, also garnering the ranking in the Dec. 11 and Jan. 22 polls. The 2014-15 season marked the first year the swimming and diving polls were expanded to 10 teams.

Two-time defending national champion Oklahoma Baptist took the top spot with 65 points, followed by SCAD Savannah (Ga.) in second with 52 points and Brenau (Ga.) in third with 49 points.

Fellow Mid-South Conference member Cumberlands (Ky.) also resides in the poll, coming in at No. 5.
