Ausbon (Bill) Mars, Grab, Green Co., KY (1931-2015)

He was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Loyd Franklin Mars and Nettie Florence Judd. His wife, Frances Wright Mars, survives. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. Mr. Mars had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & AM. He was a farmer.

Mr. Ausbon "Bill" Mars, age 83 of the Grab Community passed away Wednesday evening, February 18, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services for Mr. Ausbon "Bill" Mars will be conducted Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 1pmCT, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, in Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Arnett will officiate. Visitation for Mr. Ausbon "Bill" Mars will be after 2pmCT, on Monday, February 23, 2015 and after 7amCT, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Mr. Ausbon "Bill" Arlon Mars was born November 18, 1931 in Green County, KY. He was the son of the late Loyd Franklin Mars and Nettie Florence Judd. He departed this life Wednesday evening, February 18, 2015 at his home in the Grab Community of Green County, KY, having attained the age of eighty-three years and three months. Mr. Mars had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F & AM. He was a farmer.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter: Glenda Mars Dixon, four brothers: Edison, Orvile, Howard, and L.C. Mars, three sisters: Edna Lobb, Vera Stone and Audrey Schmitz He is survived by his wife Frances Wright Mars, and the following:
  • One son: Daryl A. Mars, Greensburg, KY

  • One daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Mars Robertson and Doug Robertson, Greensburg, KY

  • Son-in-law: Paul Dixon, all of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Sybil Kennedy of Hodgenville, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Brandy Nicole Gilpin, Amanda Ruth Parks, Amber Robertson Pegram and Breanna Robertson

  • Six great grandchildren: Alivia, Braddock and Branston Pegram, Brayden and Millie Gilpin and Abigail Parks all of Greensburg, KY
