Mary Eliza Pace Allen, 85, Cumberland Co., KY (1929-2014)

She was a homemaker and member of the Noah Hollow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a native of Cumberland County and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daugher of the late Clarence Underwood Pace and Iva Mae Ellis Pace. She leaves four direct living descendants.

Mary Eliza Pace Allen age 85 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her home.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in the Taylor Cemetery. Family requests visitation 4pm-9pmCT, on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.



Mary Eliza Pace Allen, 85, Cumberland Co., KY (1929-2014)


She was born on June 14, 1929 in the Waterview Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Underwood Pace and Iva Mae Ellis Pace. She died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 85 years, seven months, and 27 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Noah Hollow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph J. Pace, three sisters, Elizabeth Clark, Helen Warfield, and Christine Norris.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Mary Edna Kirkpatrick and her husband Rickye of Burkesville, KY

  • One sister: Shirley J. Norris of Burkesville, KY

  • Daughter-in-law: Fannie Pace of Burkesville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: T. J. (Christy) Taylor and Eunique Kirkpatrick

  • One great grandchild; Samiah Taylor

  • Former husband: George Allen of Burkesville, KY

  • Sister-in-law: Inez Allen of Burkesville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
