Kenny Absher: Local library best entity taxpayers pay for

'I challenge you to show support for our library and let charity and pride begin at home.' - KENNY ABSHER
Comments re article 73109 Technology driving public library usage in Kentucky

By Kenny Absher

Our own local library provides many services to our community and the extras they do make them the best entity taxpayers pay for. They do more for less and unlike most of bureaucracies, do not waste $.51 of each dollar allotted to them.

The staff has always gone above and beyond the call of duty and I respectfully say "Thank You."

We have a new bookmobile and no funds to put Adair County Bookmobile on it.

Instead of raising money for charities who spend a majority of your donation to pay their selves up to $.90 of every dollar you donate, charity should begin at home.

Kosairs, Salvation Army, the one the fire department collects for are wonderful charities and the money goes for helping, unlike many many 503C orfanizations.

A dollar to local charities like the Jaycees or Church or something here is good also.

Someone grab the bull by the horns and let's put our name on our bookmobile. A contest, maybe to name it. I pick "I need a riddle" after Anita Riddle.

I challenge you to show support for our library and let charity and pride begin at home.
