Phyllis Williams, 96, of Columbia, KY died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 5:45pmCT, at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center in Columbia.

Ms. Williams chose cremation and no public visitation or funeral service will be held.



Phyllis Williams, 96, Adair County, KY (1918-2015)

She was born December 27, 1918, in Calexico, Imperial County, California. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bethel Berger Day. She died Thursday, February 5, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age 96 years, one months, and nine days.

She was the widow of Henry Williams, attended Columbia United Methodist Church and was a former school system food service worker in California.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Janet (Thom) Najarian of Columbia, KY; and Barbara (Bud) Miller of Washington

  • One brother and two sisters: Richard Day, Beverly Fox, and Florence Day

  • Four grandchildren: Michael Borger, Christine (C.J.) Simpson, Sandy Margulious, and Tim Miller

  • Twelve great-grandchildren
