By Duane Bonifer, Public Relations Director News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY -- The Lindsey Wilson College football program officially received its first Mid-South Conference trophy Saturday, Jan. 31, at Biggers Sports Center. The Blue Raiders were presented the 2014 Tom Dowling Mid-South Conference East Division Championship trophy before the start of the LWC-University of Pikeville men’s basketball game. The trophy was named in honor of Dowling, the conference’s first commissioner. The LWC football team won the 2014 Mid-South Conference East Division, its first conference title. In addition to going 6-0 in the MSC East, the Blue Raiders were 10-3 overall and ranked No. 7 in the final NAIA poll. LWC also won its first NAIA playoff game, losing the quarterfinal round of the NAIA playoffs.
