Columbia PD arrest four on meth-making charges on Young ST Columbia Police Department arrest 3 Columbia residents and on Russell County resident after early morning search of residence reveals an active methamphetamine lab. Josh Brockman, Public Affairs Officer Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross On Friday, January 30, 2015 at approximately 02:25amCT, Columbia Police Department officers located a methamphetamine lab at an residence located off of Young Street in the limits of Columbia, KY. Officers arrived at the home after they initiated a narcotics investigation that has been ongoing for several months. When members of the department entered the home it was quickly found that the occupants of the home were in the process of manufacturing and the lab was active. Officers secured all four occupants located as they entered and conducted a brief search of the residence for safety. At that time two teenage children were found asleep in bedrooms. The children and suspects were removed from the home to limit their exposure to the toxic fumes produced during the process. Arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail were:
The teenagers were taken to Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY, as a precaution to the exposure of the toxic fumes released during process. The KY Department of Protection and Permanency was also notified and responded to assist with the children. This story was posted on 2015-01-30 15:58:37
