KY charges filed against FBI fugitive captured in Lincoln Co., KY KSP detectives in unmarked car pursued fugitive after being sideswiped by a white Jeep Wrangler on Thomas Ridge Road, near Dunnville, just a few miles from the Adair County & Russell County lines in Southern Casey County. The detectives were unable to catch the suspect. Police learned the Jeep had been stolen from a residence on Turkey Creek Road in Casey County, where the suspect is alleged to have abducted a 13 year old male at gunpoint. The vehicle was located and the suspect was captured after a search and second pursuit ended in Lincoln County. Related, next earlier story: Kidnapping suspect arrested after foot chase in Lincoln Co, KY By TFC William Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY COLUMBIA, KY (27 Jan 2015) - 25-year-old Robert Caldwell, formerly of Danville, KY and a FBI fugitive was charged today by the Kentucky State Police with Fleeing & Evading Police 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Kidnapping, Robbery and Theft by Unlawful Taking/Auto. At approximately 12:55pmET, two KSP detectives in an unmarked car, indicated that he had been involved in a hit-and-run, sideswipe collision with a white Jeep that was traveling west on Thomas Ridge Road in Casey County. The Detectives pursued the 2005 Jeep Wrangler but were unable to locate it. During the course of looking for the Jeep, it was discovered that the Jeep had been stolen from a residence on Turkey Creek Road in Casey County. The accused came out of the woods onto the property and found a 13-year-old male outside the residence. The male juvenile was made to get in the Jeep with the accused, at gunpoint, and was taken. The juvenile was released a short time after being abducted and found unharmed. The vehicle was located after multiple agencies engaged in several hours of searching and a second pursuit ensued and ended in Lincoln County where Caldwell was taken into custody by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. He is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on multiple local, state and federal charges. Boyle County Sheriff's Department, Stanford Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, Junction City Police Department, Nelson County Sheriff's Department and Pulaski County Sheriff's Department assisted.
